What a weekend!!
Wow! What an emotional roller coaster. Any Harry Potter "freak" will sympathize with me. You see, I have been spending most of time engrossed in that 7th book. I laughed, I cried (quite a few times), and now I am sad to say that I have finished reading the final book of the series.
Now that the book is finished, I really have to get my butt in gear to leave for SU Convention early Wed morning. I have about 10 more swaps to go to be ready for an upline dinner swap, my gifts are made for my friends and then it's off I go.....Denver for 5 days!!!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am SO ready for a nap!!! I think I will try to steal an hour for some shut eye!!!

Getting Ready for Convention
I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want to hear first? Okay, I'll give the good news first. I really did A LOT of stamping today!!!! The bad news? I can't show it to any of you yet!
You see, I've been working on my SU Convention swaps. I will take pics and post them next week after I return from Convention. It's hard to believe that a bunch of stamping crazed women (ok, some guys too) are all piled into one place. The energy is amazing!!!
I also have my Christmas in July stamp camp tomorrow. So, I prepared all my projects for that. I will try to post a project tomorrow.

Last Christmas Card!
This is the last card for my Christmas in July stamp camp on Thursday. When designing my classes, I try to make one of the cards quite simple. This card is my simple card.
The base of the card is Real Red (stamped with the brand new Polka Dot BG stamp in real red ink). The bottom of the card is Garden Green stamped with the Linen BG stamp in Garden Green ink.
I decided that I cannot keep hoarding my accessories. So, I stamped the focal image (from Holiday Tag Team) in one of my SU metal rimmed tags. This was then mounted on a scalloped circle punched from More Mustard cardstock. I added some red gingham ribbon and silver brads to complete the card.
Tomorrow is the last day to RSVP for my Christmas in July class. I hope you can attend!!! I'm saving the last project as a surprise!!!!
Happy Stamping!

Elegant Christmas Card
This card is my "elegant card" from this Thursday's Christmas in July stamp camp. It uses the Peaceful Wishes stamp set, and each of the berries are actually a glass seed bead.
This card uses the brand new In Color, Purely Pomegranate. It is such a rich and gorgeous color.
There is still time to sign up for this class, RSVPs need to be done by Wed 7/18 in order to attend.
Happy Stamping everyone!

"Christmas in July" Project
Sorry it took so long to post a project, but it was a gorgeous day yesterday, and an inpromptu pool party called.
This card is one of the projects for my "Christmas in July" stamp camp being held this Thursday 7/19 from 7-9pm in my Chaska, MN home. If you live near the Twin Cities and want to attend, please email me no later than Wed 7/18. The fee is $20 (or $15 if you bring a friend or make a $25 merchandise purchase).
I really wanted to focus on some of the awesome new goodies from the new catalog. The stamp set "Big on Christmas" is really fun. There are so many coloring options available! For this card I chose to color in with markers and blender pens. This card also features the brand new photo corner punch. I am SO thrilled that SU is keeping up with the latest trends. It makes me feel extremely guilty when I have to go to other manufacturers to get all the trendy items that my little heart desires!!! Now, it looks like I won't have to be doing that all that often!! Way to go Stampin' Up!
stamp sets: Big on Christmas, Flannel Plaid, Canvas
paper: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy
ink: Black StazOn
accessories: blender pens, markers, photo corner punch, burgandy grosgrain ribbon

Back from Vacation!!
I am back from a ten day vacation to NY. We moved to MN from NY last August. It was so great to see all our friends and family who we have missed terribly over the past year. I apologize for not leaving posts, but there was absolutely NO network connectivity at my mother-in-law's house.
All of my new catalog goodies arrived while I was gone, so I think a blister on my finger is imminent. I just have to figure out which stamp set I want to play with first. My bet is "Big on Christmas".
I have a Christmas in July stamp camp scheduled for July 19th. If you live in the Twin Cities area and would like to attend, feel free to email me!!! Space is limited!!! If you wear a Santa hat, you will get a special prize from me!!! The fee for the class is $20.00.
Oh well, I will post a project later on in the afternoon. I have to take DD to the ortho as she left her retainer in a napkin in NY. Ugh!!!!
