Let's be brutally honest......it's STILL really cold here in MN. Weather Channel reminded me that it was -12 when I clicked on the tv. I just want Jack Frost to hear this message okay......
THIS MINNESOTAN WANTS HIM TO LEAVE.....NOW!!!!
I've been making all these Spring cards to drop a hint.....and nothing!!!!
Okay, enough of the cold-weather whining!!! Onto this springy card.
I went back to the basics.....to a tried but true technique....Poppin' Pastels.
I just purchased this awesome Pretty Petals background stamp. I inked it up with Versamark and started pouncing on some color using my sponge daubers and chalk pastels. I started with the flowers (Almost Amethyst) followed by the butterflies (So Saffron) and finally the foliage (Certainly Celery).
The focal image is stamped on Whisper White using my So Saffron ink pad. The edges are sponged with the So Saffron ink pad as well. The sentiment is stamped with Basic Black.
I added a touch of narrow Celery grosgrain and some tabs using my Word Window punch. A few So Saffron brads finish this springy card!!!
Easy yet beautiful is a wonderful thing..........
Until tomorrow....Happy Stamping everyone!!!
